Who are we ?

Software and aerospace engineers, we have always been passionate about technical challenges.
We live by the Arcachon Basin and are in love with this little corner of paradise...
Like any tinkerer who is always looking to make life easier, we had developed a small device for our own navigation, which meant we no longer had to calculate or estimate the tides before each outing.
Then, seeing the enthusiasm of those around us, we decided to share it with as many people as possible !
That is how the company Once Upon A Tide was born, and how this device was christened "Pontos".
Driven by a desire to make tides more accessible and easier to read, we revolutionised tide clocks that had been going round in circles.
And so we created Hydros, a connected tide clock that displays not only the tides, but also all possible swimming and water activity times for those who depend on the tides.
And we are not stopping there, because one idea sparks another !
